Who is GSFCC?
Global Society for Contamination Control (www.GSFCC.org) is a 501 c (6) non-profit focused on the advancement of the contamination control industry by fostering knowledge exchange and collaboration between cleanroom operators and managers from around the world. By utilizing innovative “community building technologies” GSFCC provides peer-to-peer documentation sharing to help improve Cleanroom industry best practices.

What is the difference between GSFCC and IEST?
IEST is a standard / test methodology development organization established in the USA to support primarily the electronics, ESD, and vibration isolation markets. GSFCC is a global society that addresses real-time issues in all Cceanroom markets (Electonics, Life Science, and BioPharmaceutical) with documentation and forum. GSFCC is there when life happens; GSFCC helps you fix problems, not set standards.

When did GSFCC start?
We were envisioned by pioneers in the cleanroom industry and began designing the Society organization and strategic plan in the Summer of 2005. The Society first offered our on-line resources on the World Wide Web in December 2005. Our official launch was in February 2006 at InterPhex / PR in the Caribbean.

Why would I want to join GSFCC?
Since the Society is a volunteer-driven, not-for-profit organization, our member’s satisfaction is our #1 goal. All membership revenue supports new technical content available to members to share. The Society wants you to have somewhere to go to when no one seems to have the answer and especially when the standards of your industry don’t provide practical solutions for real life issues. In joining you will also collaborate with others in your industry to help each other. When you join a paying membership, you help keep the site growing to provide you with more information and assist in our technology to help you in the future.

Where do I go if I can’t find the answer to my question?
If you can’t find any documentation within GSFCC to help you with your problem, there is always, www.cleanroomforum.com. We sponsor this site as a means of communication among peers in your industry. On this site, you will find a forum where you can actually post problems and receive solutions. You can also help others who are having a problem you may have already had.

Why did GSFCC start?
To help you get the technical information you need fast with our on-line Resources, Guides, and Forums. To help bridge the knowledge gap between experienced Cleanroom operators in established markets, versus novice Cleanroom operators in emerging markets. Through collaboration, the global contamination control market will continue to be recognized as a market driven by technical innovations.
Where did the idea for GSFCC come from?
Cleanroom industry advocates (each with over 20 years experience) observed that technical information about critical environments is too fragmentized. They believed that if operators and managers in the cleanroom industry had a centralized location to find, and archive pertinent data, that this would make their job easier. This translates into process production efficiencies and yield improvement.
